The Mane Issue!

The hair and cosmetics industry is a BILLION dollar industry -- fueled by the support and dollars from minority women+. However, it is important that we are informed buyers! Many of the products that we know and love contain Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs). EDCs are substances in the environment, food sources, personal care products, and manufactured products that interfere with the normal function of your body's endocrine system (the system that produces and regulates our hormones).

Check out and download Girl Plus Environment's Toxic Chemical Toolkit, as well as more information about The Mane Issue (TMI) campaign -- a targeted initiative focused on addressing the health risks posed by EDCs found in hair and beauty products predominantly used by Black women.
